Free events for kids
The Lowell summer Music Series is a fun free event for the family with some great perfomers. Free healthy snacks are offered too. Be sure to take a trolley ride and/or check out the museum after the show. http://www.lowellsummermusic.org
Revere Beach offers fun activities for families. There is an International Sand Sculpting Festival, which is very impressive to see in person. The massive sand sculptures should not be missed, don’t forget to bring your camera along. They also offer some other family fun activities throughout the year so be sure to check them out.
Be sure to check with your library for free events related to this year’s summer reading theme. One of the events is from the Museum of Science and this hands on event includes making rockets and seeing how far they launch as well as making space crafts and seeing if they can hoover on Mars and Earth. Another event was a portable planaterium from the discovery center. These hands on activites are sure to be fun for the kids.
